I'm really enjoying drawing these little floating heads in pencil, I like to focus on faces and the expression of these somewhat eerily sweet characters, I see them as a kind of spirits or faeries.

New Art Print Cameo Pendants and Pocket Watch

'Rose Girl' Fine Art Print Cameo Pendant
This beautiful white Cameo Fine Art Print Pendant is hand crafted by me the original artist. The center piece features a close-up of my oil painting ‘Rose Girl’ an 40mm dome top cameo that captures a perfect image made from one of my original works of art.
Set into a vintage Rococo styled hand cast resin setting with a tiny embossed detailing. Above the frame hangs a 4 resin roses. The cameo setting is 3.5 centimeters wide and 6.5 centimeters tall.

This piece comes beautifully presented in a silver box with a printed image of 'Rose Girl' on the lid and signed presentation card with details of the artwork inside.

Zodiac drawings, Aquarius ♒ & Sagittarius ♐

Zodiac, Aquarius, in pencil. I like this image of the water bearer, her hair is the water and she is pouring it out of a watering can whilst standing in a pool.

Playing around a little with this image on Photoshop to add colour, which I wanted to do without loosing too much of the detail of the drawing.

Zodiac, Sagittarius, in pencil. I'm not sure if I like the proportions of this yet, If in the future I do a project with my Zodiac character I most positively will redo this one.

New Oil Painting Rose Girl 2015

Recently finished this oval oil painting on wooden panel, I have the most perfect oval frame for her. The painting is titled 'Rose Girl' I will be making prints of her and feature her on some new art print jewellery soon, stay tuned.

Here is the original pencil sketch I have made for this painting.

I started with this under-painting, it has a lot of white and skin tones.

Working on refining the face and adding structure to the flower petal costume, the background of the sky is also very pink I want this painting to have a sunset feel.

I have refined the petals on her costume and introduced a lilac colour to the background as a contrasting colour as the whole  piece was getting too pink, I left a pink glow around the figure as I feel it adds a magical quality to the image..

Cute Animal Drawings

These animals are inspired by various illustrations from the 1940's greeting cards and children's books, I love this super cute aesthetic they have a nostalgic quality to me.

Classic bunny image with its curious expression and fluffy feet, bunnies are a very popular image on Easter cards, this bunny with its oversized head is a classic iconography still popular today. I drew this with a 0.5 mechanical pencil which was really great for drawing the fur as the line stays consistent in thickness unlike a pencil that you would have to keep sharpening to get a fine point.

I love this image of the mouse although I feel the eyes could have been better, they look a little dead, if I decide to use this drawing for a project I know I will attempt to give the eyes more expression and life.

Baby doe in pencil, a classic iconography made popular by Bambi the Disney film, this is a classic pose and my own attempt at stylizing. I really like how this came out it reminds me of images on vintage Christmas cards.

Jumping doe in pencil, I love this cheaky doe, I would like to use some of these doe images in future projects.

Zodiac Drawings, Libra ♎

Zodiac, Libra Ladies, in pencil, Libra on the Zodiac is symbolized by scales and represents balance balance and symmetry. Libra-born prefer justice and equality, and they cannot tolerate injustice. They avoid indulging in all types of conflicts and prefer to keep the peace, where this is possible. They like to do everything in pairs and not alone.

The biggest problem for Libra-born, is when they are forced to choose sides, because they are very indecisive and sometimes they forget that they have their own opinion, I know a few Libra's and I see some of these traits, I have drawn my depiction of Libra with the scales tilted almost as if the two sides are playfully finding balance. I tried to make the axes of the scales look carved with sweet motifs of flowers, hearts and carrots, based on a cloud.

New Drawing DNA Fairy

Recent tattoo design request from one brave lady, who asked me for a drawing that included a DNA strand because she has Fabry disease, a genetic disease where she is missing the enzyme that breaks down lipids....it slowly kills through a build up in organs. The drawing is of a 'DNA fairy' that will watch over her and help keep her symptoms under control, in pencil. Sending my love <3 p="">
